I enjoy pursuing just workspaces for all. As UberHUE co-chair and a mother of three, carving pathways and creating opportunities for those coming behind me is vitally important. After leading local, community-focused initiatives with Uber Houston, I set my sights on fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace across Uber.
I'm a graduate of an HBCU, Howard University, which instilled in me the values of excellence, leadership, service, and truth. For the past 4 years I have worked in various parts of Uber's operations teams. My current role is Driver Operations Manager for the tri-state market. I'm a co-leader for UberHUE as well.
I spend much of my time at work engaging with employees about how we can make Uber, and tech more generally, a place that welcomes more women and minorities.
I am an Uber OG having started with the company in 2012 as the General Manager for Dallas. After spending 4 years growing the North and West Texas markets, I transitioned over to an External Affairs role. There I focus on fostering stronger community and governmental relationships.
I’ve enjoyed my career at Uber and the impact we’ve made to riders, drivers, and cities. We’ve been successful in many areas but I know that we still have much room for growth. I stay excited and committed to continue to make Uber a premier company where all employees are proud to work.
What convinced you to apply to Uber?
I applied for the Sr Marketing Manager job because I was searching for a marketing role that would bring me back in house and because I was an avid Uber user and fan of the brand. It helped that my friend from journalism school was already working here as a copywriter!
What part of your job do you find most fulfilling?
The most fulfilling part of my job is being able work alongside my extremely sharp and motivated co-workers. Their energy and dedication keeps me excited to come to work every day. I also love that on a city team I'm able to make Uber feel like a local brand, which I believe differentiates us.

What convinced you to apply to Uber?
My first experience with the platform: I pressed a button on my phone and Lincoln Navigator appeared within a few minutes. I simply provided the partner with my final destination, and we were off. Before I knew it, I was at my apartment and everything was paid for. The entire ride experience was amazing and I was blown away with the product. Uber had the potential to change transportation and I wanted to be part of that.
What part of your job do you find most fulfilling?
I was an early member of the Uber DC team and I watched the product grow from obscurity to being used as a verb. Being on the ground and watching the impact we had on riders and partners was amazing. Every day, I come to office with a smile. I’m extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with smart, talented individuals who are passionate about their job and the company.
- Lyle Adams, Analytics Manager
What convinced you to apply to Uber?
The potential. I was also excited about the incredibly fast pace, the innovation as well as the autonomy and ownership that I would enjoy over my work. The opportunity to bridge theory and practice keeps me super-pumped to be here. Ideate, act and see the impact almost immediately.
What part of your job do you find most fulfilling?
The fact that I got to spend 9 months with Uber in Africa was easily the most rewarding experience of my time here. Launching Uber in Ghana (a country where I spent three years of my childhood) remains a standout memory for me. Standing in a hotel parking lot with skeptical but idle drivers and trying to get them to understand the potential of this idea, helped me grow and stretch myself. The fact that you never know where Uber could take you, because your next job hasn’t even been created; that's what makes working here so fulfilling.
